Our Story
In late 2020, we began our soap-making adventure by crafting small batches with ingredients found straight from our kitchen. We happily shared our creations with neighbours and friends, who quickly fell in love with the soaps. Their enthusiastic requests for new ingredients and personalized blends ignited our passion for further research and experimentation.
As we emerged from the pandemic, we realized the incredible potential to transform this hobby into a thriving business. With excitement and determination in our hearts, we set out on a journey to share our artisanal soaps with a broader audience, inviting everyone to experience the soaps we’ve created!
Empowering women & giving back to the community
Our vision is to cultivate a supportive and self-sustaining community where women can break free from social stigmas. By helping local women overcome cultural barriers, we strive to empower them to achieve independence and create the futures they desire.
We believe that empowered mothers are strong role models, inspiring their daughters to follow in their footsteps. Join us in creating a brighter world where women can thrive and pave the way for future generations to dream big and reach their full potential.
“Empowered mothers build empowered daughters..”
The Geoffrey Bawa Project
A Fragrant Tribute to Timeless Design
As part of a collaborative project honoring the architectural genius of Geoffrey Bawa, we are proud to present our textured soap, inspired by the timeless checkerboard pattern found throughout Lunuganga Garden’s floors. This unique creation captures the essence of Bawa’s vision and can only be found at Geoffrey Bawa’s official store.
Infused with the classic fragrance of frangipani, the very same trees that provide shade to Lunuganga’s North Terrace and the entrance of Bawa’s Colombo home, this soap invites you to indulge in a sensory experience that celebrates nature and artistry. Bring home a piece of this extraordinary legacy today.
The UpCycled Project
Our soaps are made from scratch, which means we pour, dry, and cut each batch by hand. While that process creates some lovely bars, it also leaves us with extra bits that don’t get used. We decided to start turning those scraps into something new and wonderful; which is how the UpCycling Project was born.
The fabric for the pouches that wrap up these lovely soaps were found at the Pamunuwa Fabric Market which were then cut and stitched together by a home-based mother-daughter duo!
This project not only helped in reducing wastage and saving the environment but also in supporting the local businesses and keeping their craftsmanship alive.
